A day-long “Reunion Fair–2026” was organized by the Narsingdi District Government Officers and Employees Welfare Council with the aim of strengthening mutual harmony, solidarity, and professional bonds among government officers and employees.
The reunion was held on Saturday (July 25) at Dream Holiday Park in Panchdona, Narsingdi. Government officers and employees, senior government officials, representatives of various social and professional organizations, and invited guests took part in the event.
Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-2 (Palash), joined the programme virtually as the Chief Guest.
Among the special guests were Khairul Kabir Khokon, Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-1; Advocate Shirin Sultana, Member of Parliament for the Reserved Women’s Seat; Dr. Md. Faridul Islam, former Secretary to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; Kaniz Mowla, Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs; Alhaj Tofazzal Hossain Master, Administrator of the Narsingdi Zila Parishad; Mostafa Azizul Karim, Director of the Department of Labour; Sarowar Hossain Mridha, President of the Narsingdi Inter-District Road Transport Owners’ Association; Advocate Kaniz Fatema, General Secretary of the Narsingdi District Mohila Dal; Advocate Ayesha Akter Champa, Acting President of the Palash Upazila Mohila Dal; Advocate Bached Bhuiyan, President of the Palash Upazila Jubo Dal; Humayun Kabir Kamal, President of the Narsingdi District Tati Dal; Shahnaz Parveen, President of the Ghorashal Municipal Mohila Dal; Mamtaz Begum, Vice-President of the Ghorashal Municipal Mohila Dal; and Nurul Islam, President of the Bangladesh Secretariat Officers and Employees United Council.
The programme was presided over by Md. Mofachchel Hossain, President of the Narsingdi District Government Officers and Employees Welfare Council, while Md. Amzad Hossain, Senior Vice-President of the Council, conducted the event.
Shariful Islam, General Secretary of the Council; Shakil Mia, Joint General Secretary; Syed Tanrup Jahan, Organizing Secretary; Khalilur Rahman, Publicity Secretary; along with other leaders and members of the Council, were present and played an active role in organizing the programme.
The speakers said that such initiatives play an important role in promoting mutual harmony, strengthening professional skills, and fostering cordial relationships among government officers and employees, while also contributing to the improvement of public service delivery. They emphasized the importance of continuing such reunion events in the future.
The day-long programme featured breakfast, lunch, and afternoon refreshments for the participants. It also included a cultural programme, an exchange of views, and concluded in a joyful and festive atmosphere.
