New Executive Committee Formed for National Journalists Association in Noakhali

A new 21-member district committee of the National Journalists Association has been approved in Noakhali with the aim of further strengthening and accelerating the organization’s activities. The committee will remain in office until December 31, 2028.

The Noakhali district committee was announced on July 27, 2026, with the approval of the central committee of the National Journalists Association. The committee was approved by the association’s Central Committee President, Ayesha Akter, and Secretary General, Mohammad Alamgir Gani. The association’s registration number is C-95074-11.

Azharul Islam Alamgir has been appointed President of the newly formed committee, while Rumana Islam has been appointed General Secretary. Safi Ullah Bachchu has been appointed Senior Vice President; Ripon Majumdar and A.K.M. Iqbal Hossain have been appointed Vice Presidents. Aziz Ahmed and Yasin Rubel have been appointed Joint General Secretaries.

Anisur Rahman Titu has been appointed Finance Secretary, and Md. Rezaul Karim (Raju) has been appointed Organizing Secretary.

Other members of the committee include Rashed Billah Chishti, Joint Organizing Secretary; Md. Sheikh Farid, Publicity Secretary; Ariful Islam Shaheen, Office Secretary; Nazrul Islam, Joint Office Secretary; Abul Bashar, Information and Technology Affairs Secretary; Sakaowat Hossain, Joint Information and Technology Secretary; Humayun Kabir, Legal Affairs Secretary; Nazim Uddin, Joint Legal Affairs Secretary; Monir Hossain, Public Welfare Secretary; Suborna Akter Brishti, Women’s Affairs Secretary; and Md. Enamul Hasan Rana and Mohammad Sobuj, members.

The district committee’s advisers are Harunur Rashid Azad, Chairman of the District Council; Shehab Uddin Ahmed Tipu; Advocate Zakir Hossain Rahim; Shihab Uddin; Alauddin; and VP Shahnaz Parveen.

The newly appointed leaders expressed their commitment to strengthening the organizational activities of the National Journalists Association and working for the professional development, rights, and welfare of journalists.
